Learning Activity: Skin Cancer
CNN STUDENT NEWS(CNN Student News) -- Students will learn about the different types of skin cancer and ways to prevent the disease. ProcedureTo begin the activity, pose the following questions for class discussion: Then, refer student groups to the Web sites provided to learn about the different types of skin cancer and ways to prevent the disease. List the following questions to guide students' research: After groups present their findings, ask students: To what extent, if any, have your views about sun exposure and tanning changed as a result of your research? Following the discussion, have your class create a skin cancer awareness campaign to educate other students at their school about the dangers of skin cancer and ways to prevent the disease.
