LONDON, England (CNN) -- Three men in their early 20s were arrested in Britain in connection with an ongoing investigation into "suspected international terrorism," police said Saturday.
The investigation is "separate" from the probe into the London bombings in July, police said.
Police arrested two of the men after warrants were executed at three "residential premises" late Friday night.
"A man was arrested at Chatham in Kent and another in Shepherds Bush, west London. There are ongoing searches at these places and also at a third address in the Paddington area of west London," police said.
Searches are expected to continue and "no hazardous materials have been found," police said.
The third man was arrested on Saturday morning after he "voluntarily attended a London police station."
The men are being detained "on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism under the Terrorism Act 2000" and have been taken to a central London police station for questioning.
