CNN special coverage of Germany Votes
 CNN's Becky Anderson anchors live from Berlin as the results unfold. SPECIAL REPORT(CNN) -- As Europe's largest economy heads to the polls for the federal elections on Sunday, CNN examines the prospective domestic and international impact of these election results with live coverage and in-depth reports from across Germany. On election day, CNN will be live in Germany as the results unfold starting at 1530 GMT (1730 CET). Becky Anderson anchors live from outside the Reichstag, where she will be joined by CNN colleague Charles Hodson and Josef Joffe, political analyst and editor of Die Zeit. As the polls close and results are revealed, Chris Burns, CNN's Berlin-based correspondent, will report from Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's SPD headquarters, while CNN European Political Editor Robin Oakley will be live at challenger Angela Merkel's CDU event. Ahead of election day, CNN viewers can join Charles Hodson on a journey around Germany as he travels the country by train to examine the crucial economic and business issues dividing voters. Robin Oakley also previews the political landscape for viewers, offering insight into the main candidates' platform strategies and campaign tactics. CNN also is featuring reports on the many facets of the German automobile industry live from the Frankfurt auto show, interviewing the CEOs who influence this key industry. On Friday, CNN launches its live programming from Germany when its daytime and evening European news programs, "World News Europe," "World Business Today" and "Business International" are co-anchored live from Berlin. The special election coverage culminates on Monday with an additional three hours of the European breakfast show "CNN Today" live from Berlin. Deploying more than 15 additional staff, including anchors, correspondents and political commentators, CNN is committing more resources to the coverage of this year's election than ever before.
