'Explosives' arrest at UK airport
LONDON, England (CNN) -- British police say they have charged a man arrested at London's Heathrow Airport with conspiring to cause an explosion.
Salahuddin Amin, 29, was held by the anti-terror branch of London's Metropolitan Police as he arrived on a flight from Pakistan on February 8, a police spokeswoman told CNN on Saturday.
He was charged with "maliciously conspiring with others to cause, by explosive substance, an explosion of a nature likely to endanger life or cause serious damage to property."
Authorities allege the offense occurred between October 2003 and March 2004, but declined to release further details.
Amin, who is being held in custody, is due to appear in court on Monday.
