Afghan bomb wounds 4 U.S. troops
(CNN) -- A roadside bomb has wounded four U.S. service members near Asadabad in northeastern Afghanistan, the Coalition Press Information Center in Kabul said. The four were taken to Bagram Airfield near Kabul on Friday where they were said to be in a stable condition. The explosion struck the unit's "up-armored, high mobility, multipurpose wheeled vehicle when they were returning from defusing" another improvised explosive device, CPIC said. "Afghan and U.S. forces immediately secured the scene of the attack and are conducting offensive operations to kill or capture those responsible. Explosive ordnance disposal experts are at the scene," CPIC said.
