(CNN) -- The toll of dead and missing six months after the December 26 Indian Ocean quake and tsunami stands at 226,328, according to government figures given to the International Federation of Red Cross.

Those listed as missing will be officially declared as dead in most countries a year after the disaster.

Indonesia:
128,645 dead, 37,063 missing

Sri Lanka:
31,147 dead, 4,115 missing

India:
10,749 dead, 5,640 missing

Maldives:
82 dead, 26 missing

Thailand:
5,395 dead, 2,845 missing

Myanmar:
61 dead, 10 missing

Malaysia:
68 dead, 12 missing

East Africa (1):
312 dead, 158 missing

TOTAL:
176,459 dead, 49,869 missing
