SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir (CNN) -- A powerful car bomb targeting a paramilitary convoy in Srinagar's uptown Jawahar Nagar neighborhood exploded Wednesday morning, killing at least one person and wounding more than 40 others, Jammu and Kashmir state police said.
The wounded include three paramilitary officers.
The attack on the three-vehicle convoy took place at a busy intersection in the residential and business district.
