Princess Mary sails to victory
SYDNEY, Australia (CNN) -- Crown Princess Mary, Australian-born wife of Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik, has again beaten her husband on the water.
The 34-year-old princess, who arrived in Sydney on Friday night, won a three-match series of yacht races Sunday on Sydney Harbor, 2-1.
The Danish royals are making their first official visit to Australia since they married in Copenhagen last May.
Just before their wedding, the pair took part in a sailing regatta off Copenhagen, in which Princess Mary helped crew an Australian boat that beat her husband's Danish entrant.
The Australian yacht was skippered by one of the country's most experienced sailors, America's Cup winner John Bertrand.
On Sunday, the couple competed in identical Farr 40 yachts in a best-of-three series on Sydney Harbor, with Princess Mary again prevailing.
The Danish crown prince met his future bride, marketing executive Mary Donaldson, when he accompanied the Danish sailing team to Sydney for the 2000 Olympics.
