LAHORE, Pakistan (CNN) -- Gunmen opened fire on a vehicle carrying four Pakistani journalists Monday, killing two and wounding one, according to Pakistani government officials.

The two killed were Amir Nawad, who was freelancing for Associated Press Television News (APTN), and Allah Noor, who worked for a local Pakistani TV channel, government officials said.

Anwar Shakir, who works for Agence France-Presse (AFP), was seriously wounded, the officials said.

The fourth journalist, who was not named, was unhurt.

The four were returning from assignments in Wana City, government officials said.
