YOUR E-MAIL ALERTSBALTIMORE, Maryland (CNN) -- At least 14 people were hurt Monday when a Greyhound bus crashed on Interstate 95 in Baltimore, authorities said. The accident happened about 6:30 a.m. ET during a heavy rainstorm on Baltimore's east side near the I-95 exchange with U.S. 40. Northbound interstate traffic was diverted onto the smaller road to make way for emergency vehicles and crews. Some people were seriously hurt, but none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, said Cheryl Sparks, a spokeswoman for the Maryland Transportation Authority. "We had two people who had to be freed from the bus," Sparks said. She said she didn't know how many people were on the bus or the bus' departure point or destination. Video images from a helicopter from CNN affiliate WBAL showed the bus on its side, with crews bringing passengers out on stretchers. An information panel on the front of the bus indicated a destination of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Greyhound officials did not immediately return phone calls.
