(CNN) -- Investigators have no leads in a triple slaying at a home in Idaho and are searching for two children who lived there, authorities said Tuesday.
The killings have shocked the quaint community of Coeur d'Alene and prompted massive searches for 9-year-old Dylan and 8-year-old Shasta Groene. An Amber Alert was issued earlier Tuesday for the two youngsters.
Authorities said the children's mother, Brenda Groene, and their 13-year-old brother Slade were among those killed in the home. The mother's boyfriend, Mark McKenzie, 37, was also found dead in the home.
"Our main concerns right now are the two children," Kootenai County Sheriff Rocky Watson told reporters.
He said authorities have no leads on an abduction, people of interest or a direction the children could be traveling.
"We don't have any clue yet," he said. "We just know that there are two children that are normally in that house that are not."
He added, "We're just doing everything we can early because time is the essence with children."
Search teams using dogs fanned out across the area and a helicopter aided the search.
The FBI was assisting in the search, while detectives from the state and Spokane, Washington, were helping process the crime scene.
Watson said the woman's ex-husband has been ruled out as a suspect. He also said it is clear a triple homicide occurred.
"It was not a murder-suicide," he said.
He said investigators would be processing the crime scene for the next two or three days.
The Amber Alert describes Dylan as a 4-foot-tall boy, 60 pounds, with blonde, crewcut hair and blue eyes; and Shasta as 3-foot-10, 40 pounds, with long auburn-brown hair and hazel green eyes.
