Places: Visit at night the Belem Cementery (great tour); visit the Cathedral Teatro Degollado Hospicio, Cabañas (great murals of Orozco); Mercado San Juan de Dios (great place to purchase many art crafts typical of Mexico). Food: Tortas Toño (delicious Mexican sandwiches, bring your napkins); Santo Coyote (typical food from Mexico from Chihuahua); Santuario (sit at the plaza and enjoy some Buñuelos -- you need to go in the late afternoon); Close to Belen Cementery: La laja, great country restaurant near Zapotlanejo wonderful meat and other flavors from Mexico. This is what comes to mind but there are many other things to see, do and eat in Guadalajara.
