If people realized how loud and obnoxious they sound when talking on mobile phones, it would not be a problem in general. But people do not realize this and cannot control their volume. In a confined airplane cabin this is magnified and even more intrusive. No way! Bob Bleczinski, Brighton, England

I have been reading about those that complain about the security at airports. Too bad let them take the train. I am not anxious to board a plane where passengers have not been checked. This is the price we pay for the world we live in. I note the ladies doing all the complaining are lawyers or politicians. Russ Daggett, Invermere, British Columbia, Canada

Ever since deregulation, American air carriers have lost in terms of service and efficiency. Traveling on an American carrier these days is like it used to be traveling in West Africa on African airlines. American planes are old, dirty, not on time with surly, rude airhostesses who throw paper plates and junk at passengers. Basically travelling in the U.S. is a nightmare. It is like traveling in the third world and less developed countries. Marilee Kane, Washington DC

Your survey -- will you pay for in-flight wireless Internet access? -- needs one more option. "I already pay for internet access. I should be allowed to use it." Michall Caudle, Austin, Texas

The terrorists have won! With help from the bungling bureaucrats I feel less safe now than I did before Sept 11, 2001. Greg Iski, Cleveland, Ohio

I am a regular viewer and a big follower of CNN Business Traveller. I also regularly visit the site to read the informative articles. But whenever I visit your site, I feel betrayed. The reason being, the currency calculator that you have does not figure Indian Rupees. Considering the no of Indians in the U.S. and no of Indian transacting in U.S. dollars, this should be present. Keshri Kr. Asthana, New Delhi, India

On your overview of Athens, Greece you state that the summer temperature is 28 degrees Celsius. If this is the weather for April and/or October it is probably correct. For the summertime though (May-September) the average temperature is well above 30 and the highs can be 40-42 degrees Celsius even. But 28 degrees Celsius is definitely wrong. Natassa, Athens, Greece

Just the thought of people engaging in loud conversations on long flights is nerve-racking. I can see many confrontations arising between fellow passengers. People should not be forced listen to "second-hand conversations". Mark Boehm, Kailua-Kona Hawaii
