(Entertainment Weekly) -- Entertainment Weekly's daily guide to notable shows:

8-9PM
PRIVATE SCREENINGS: LAUREN BACALL
(TCM, TV-PG) Whether dishing on ex-lovers (like Bogie) and ex-crushes (like John Wayne), or threatening her lapdog ("Sophie, quiet -- or I'll slam you!"), the actress proves that even at 80, she's still a real brass tack of a woman. But some of us already knew that, since most of the juicy old anecdotes she shares here will be nothing new to hardcore fans. -- Michelle Kung

EW Grade: B+

Best of the rest

6:30-7PM
THE GOLDEN PALACE
(Lifetime, TV-PG-D) The '92-93 "Golden Girls" spin-off lasted only one season without Bea Arthur's irreplaceable Dorothy. In this debut ep, the remaining ladies -- Rue McClanahan and Betty White (right with Ned Beatty) and Estelle Getty -- are snookered into buying a Miami hotel with almost no staff. So the plucky seniors have to run the place themselves, with help from Cheech Marin and a one-liner-spoutin' Don Cheadle. It's nostalgic fun, but without the original quartet of "Girls," it's impossible to truly enjoy these Golden years. -- Paul Katz

8-9PM
7TH HEAVEN
(The WB, TV-G) Lucy exposes her baby to neighbors' germs, Lyme disease, and the Ebola virus. But none of that is as deadly as Tara Lipinski's cameo over on "Still Standing." (R)

8-11PM
THE SIXTH SENSE
(ABC, TV-14) Look, no matter how many times you watch it, you won't find any "flaws" or punch any "holes," and it's always gonna "work." Stop torturing yourself.

9-10PM
THE CLOSER
(TNT, TV-14) It's confusing. Her chocolate jones says, "C'mere, baby, let me finger-paint you in ganache," but the Funyuns say, "Back off."

9-11PM
OFFICE DOWN
(Lifetime, TV-14-LV) No, I can't. It's too good. Okay, tiny hint: Sherilyn Fenn. Oh, now I've said too much!

10-10:59PM
MEDIUM
(NBC, TV-14) Frances Fisher guests as a '60s-sitcom psychic with a slim hold on her husband and an even more tenuous grasp on sanity. (R)

10-11PM
CSI: MIAMI
(CBS, TV-14-V) Pirates! But not of the swishy, cool Keith Richards variety. (R)
