Entertainment Weekly's daily guide to notable shows:
10-11PM
BLIND JUSTICE (ABC) There's a point in every pilot when the audience decides to play or fold. The moment recently blinded cop Jim Dunbar (Ron Eldard) tells his lieutenant that he's allowed back on the police force (with gun) because he "signed a liability waiver," it's all over.
A series with that kind of slapdash legal logic (from "L.A. Law" and "NYPD Blue" creator Steven Bochco, no less) won't survive the crossfire between the "Law & Orders" and "CSIs."
It's a shame, because Eldard and costar Marisol Nichols have a compelling partnership. It's just the show that lacks vision.
EW Grade: C
Best of the rest
9-9:30PM
RAMSAY'S BOILING POINT (BBC America, TV-MA) It's like "The Restaurant," but "Ramsay" ain't about the whine or the cheese.
9-10PM
THE AMAZING RACE (CBS) Poor reality newbies. They landed a spot on "Race" only to discover they should've studied "Survivor."
9-10PM
SERIES DEBUT: LIE DETECTOR (PAX, TV-PG) A series about strapping people to polygraphs. I know what you're thinking, but there's no point: Brad's not volunteering, and Angelina would fry the machine.
10-10:59PM
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC, TV-14) Martin Short goes for creepy (it's about time he realized his full potential) as a psychic who may have snatched a missing teen.
