WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A $14,000 shotgun and a pricey mountain bike were among the gifts President Bush accepted last year, according to financial disclosure forms on the president and vice president the White House released Friday.
The bike was a gift from the Trek Bicycle Corp. The company also gave the president three bike helmets, several pairs of gloves and other bike equipment totaling $532, according to the forms.
Nike gave the president, an exercise enthusiast, $305 in workout clothes.
First lady Laura Bush accepted a $1,300 gold bracelet from Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bernstein of Riverdale, New York, according to the forms. And she received salad plates valued at $408 from Tricia Lott, the wife of Sen. Trent Lott, R-Mississippi.
Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife, Lynne, received $5,934 in gifts, including a $425 "Sherbrook II floor globe" from the president and first lady. It was a near equitable exchange as Cheney gave his boss a $595 desk clock, the forms indicate.
The president's pricey new shotgun and "accessory tools" came courtesy of Roy Weatherby Jr. of Templeton, California.
Bush also disclosed receiving various fishing equipment including: a rod, bait and clothing valued at $208 from former Commerce Secretary Don Evans; an $855 rod and reel from the Bass Pro Shops Inc.; a rod and cases worth $900 from The Met Fly Fishing Club in Houston, Texas; and a $478 rod and reel from retired Air Force Maj. Dean A. Roome, who served with Bush in the Texas Air National Guard and defended his service record during last year's presidential campaign.
The president, who maintains a Texas ranch, accepted $295 cowboy boots from a friend in Houston and a $400 cowboy hat from a friend in Austin, according to the forms.
Other gifts to the vice president and his wife included a $1,600 painting of a house on the Delaware River from a Pennsylvania couple, and 12 bottles of wine, valued at $699, from an individual in the Cheneys' home state of Wyoming.
