Arafat's nephew to view medical file

How the world viewed Yasser Arafat.
JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Yasser Arafat's nephew, who is the Palestinian representative to the United Nations, will arrive in Paris Friday to review Arafat's medical file, Palestinian officials said Thursday.
Palestinian officials had requested earlier to see the medical report of the Palestinian leader's death, but they were refused by French doctors citing laws that allowed only the deceased's family to view confidential medical files.
Nasser al-Kidwa, Arafat's nephew, will review the file as a family member and a representative of the Palestinian Authority, the officials said.
Arafat died in a French military hospital in Paris on November 11.
Although hospitalized for the last weeks of his life, doctors never provided an official diagnosis of what was ailing him, nor did they disclose the cause of death.
The lack of disclosure has spawned dozens of rumors about what may have sickened Arafat and how he died.
The Palestinian Authority has not formally announced how it plans to disclose Arafat's records to the public.
