Palestinians: 4 killed in Gaza blast
A crowd gathers in Gaza City after a car exploded Saturday.
GAZA CITY (CNN) -- A car exploded Saturday in Gaza, killing three militants inside the vehicle and a bystander, Palestinian security sources said.
Those killed in the car were with the militant group Popular Resistance Committee, the sources said.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear.
Israeli military sources said they heard the explosion but said it was not related to the Israeli army.
Elsewhere in Gaza, a 16-year-old Palestinian girl was shot and killed early Saturday in Rafah, Palestinian medical officials said.
Israeli military sources said they knew nothing about the fatal shooting in southern Gaza.
The military sources said that Israeli troops had operated hours earlier near the area where the girl was killed and had fired into an uninhabited area after an explosive device detonated next to them.
