In the Tulkarem refugee camp, an armed Hamas militant was killed after Israeli troops came under fire, according to the sources. The Palestine Red Crescent Society confirmed the shooting death.

Hamas has been labeled a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department.

In the Rafidiya neighborhood of Nablus, Israeli forces fatally shot a Palestinian man, who pointed a pistol at them, and then shot and killed another armed man who was hiding behind a bush.

The Nablus governor's office and hospital officials characterized the two deaths in the city as Israeli assassinations of two Palestinians, including a Fatah militant named Ibrahim Atari.

Fatah is the mainstream faction and Palestinian nationalist movement of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

The troops also arrested 11 wanted Palestinians they found in a house, the sources said. Palestinian officials said 10 were arrested.

Another 19 wanted Palestinians were arrested by Israel Defense Forces conducting raids in other areas in the West Bank, according to the sources.
