Czech chopper crash kills 6 troops

(CNN) -- Six British soldiers have been killed in a helicopter crash during military exercises in the Czech Republic, the Czech ministry of defense says.
The Lynx helicopter was taking part in the Flying Rhino joint military exercise, according to Czech Ministry of Defense spokesman Andrej Cirtek.
The exercises were being held near Namest Nad Oslavou in central Czech Republic. The accident happened around midday local time.
Details on how the fatal mishap occurred are not yet known. Also, it is not known if there are survivors or injured.
The exercises were strictly between the two countries and not part of a NATO effort.
A British Defense Ministry official confirmed that an Army helicopter had "gone down" in the Czech Republic, but could provide "no more details at the moment."
