Pakistan finds massive arms cache

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (CNN) -- Pakistan security forces have recovered a large weapons cache in the country's South Waziristan region, where Pakistani forces have been engaged in an operation against remnants of al Qaeda and Taliban for over a year.
Acting on recent intelligence, the security forces conducted two raids in Wana -- located the mountainous area near the Afghan border -- with the help of local tribal the security forces, intelligence sources told CNN.
They found nearly nearly four tons (3,600 kg) of dynamite, 408 shells of 82-mm mortars, 426 rounds of 75-mm, 18 rocket shells and more then 35,000 rounds of 35 different rifles.
A local official said no one was arrested in the raids.
