Rocket attack on NATO's Kabul HQ

KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- NATO forces have come under fire when at least one rocket exploded outside their headquarters in downtown Kabul, Afghanistan.
One soldier suffered non-lifethreatening injuries, officials said Tuesday.
After the attack, combat helicopters flew over the city.
About 20,000 U.S. troops and more than 6,000 ISAF peacekeepers have been involved in almost daily gunfights with members of al Qaeda and the ousted Taliban leadership, who appear intent on disrupting elections planned for September.
Tuesday's attack came five days after 11 Chinese road construction workers were killed as they slept in their compound in the north of the country.
And early this month, five aid workers -- three Europeans and two Afghans -- with Doctors Without Borders were ambushed and killed in the northwest region of the country.
Last month, a Norwegian peacekeeper was killed in another rocket and small-arms attack on the ISAF headquarters.
President Hamid Karzai, in Washington Monday, told reporters that he expects such violence to increase as the elections near.
He said he has asked NATO to deploy more peacekeepers outside the capital during September.
The elections were originally planned for June, but were delayed in part because of concerns about security and logistics in outlying areas.
