ISLAMABAD (CNN) -- Pakistani police have arrested two Islamic militants, including one suspected of involvement in the kidnapping and killing of U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl.
The two men, Sajid Jabbar and Mohammad Athar, who are thought to belong to the outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi group, were arrested in an overnight raid in Karachi.
A Karachi police spokesman said Jabbar is a suspect in the murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Pearl, as well as several other attacks.
Police found AK-47s, automatic weapons, grenades, explosives, detonators, and belts that appeared to be the kind used by suicide bombers.
They found a belt with explosives attached and discovered militant literature and manuals on how to operate terror missions.
Two are being interrogated. Their arrests come on the heels of an arrest of another militant last month.
They were targeted on suspicion of being involved in illegal activities. Athar is believed to be linked to 10 cases being investigated by police, including letter-bombs mailed to police in Karachi.
Police said Jabbar's alias is Sajid Buddha and Athar's alias is Khalid Memon.
