Three dead when bus, tractor trailer collide
(CNN) -- A tractor trailer and a Greyhound bus collided in western Tennessee early Friday, killing three people and injuring at least 25, Tennessee Highway Patrol Capt. Lynn Allen said.
Allen said the vehicles were traveling on Interstate 40 near Jackson, Tennessee, but had no further details on the accident, which took place shortly after 4 a.m. CT.
"We got all our people down there investigating," Allen said. "It's a little early yet. We shall know shortly (what happened)."
Allen said the Greyhound was carrying 25 people, including the driver. All were transported to hospitals in Jackson, where five were in serious condition.
