(CNN) -- "There's no doubt that technology changes our daily lives, making them easier and faster.
Many different tech-tools have "invaded" our homes and offices: mobiles, laptops, plasma screens... Among them, one of my favorites is e-mail.
Why? Well, Diesel is all about communication, and thanks to e-mails now we can be connected to many different people all over the world 24/7. E-mail has become a communication tool I can't do without.
The advantages in the business world are obvious: delivery time is way faster than postal mail, and messages are usually delivered within minutes to anywhere in the world. This is very important for the daily activities of an international company.
You can also save time thanks to the option of forwarding any e-mail that you receive to someone else or even a group of people without having to re-type the message. Incoming mails can be immediately printed, saved to disk, replied to or deleted.
Outgoing messages can be carefully composed and even sent at a specific time. (Apart from that there are no postage stamps to buy ;-) )
People can simply communicate and do projects with whoever they want in other countries, they can share information, practice foreign languages, exchange news, learn about new trends and styles.
E-mail represents one of the most innovative technologies of recent years and it's one that suits our one-step ahead philosophy here at Diesel. It has contributed to how we have turned the label into a global company and established it as a brand worldwide.
Even if personal contact remains the most effective way to communicate, we have to recognize that email is an important tool that allows us to act promptly in the market.
In the fashion world and in other business areas it is more and more imperative to be the "first", to be the trendsetter. E-mail and the Internet are innovations that help us to achieve this."
