Straka in charge at Sparta Prague
PRAGUE, Czech Republic -- Czech champions Sparta Prague have named Frantisek Straka as coach, replacing Jiri Kotrba who was sacked last weekend.
A Sparta player from 1979 to 1988, Straka has coached FC Teplice since 2002.
Sparta suffered their fourth league defeat of the season on Saturday, slipping to fourth in the standings.
Sparta reached the second round of this season's Champions League, losing to European champions AC Milan, but they must finish in the top two to qualify for the tournament next season.
"We have to be second and we will be second," said Straka. "We'll make it."
