Petit is expecting to quit Chelsea

LONDON, England -- French World Cup winning midfielder Emmanuel Petit has admitted he will not be at big-spending Premier League title contenders Chelsea next season.
The 33-year-old has a contract that runs until the end of the season but the £7.5m signing from Barcelona in June 2001 admits he will have to look for another club.
"There have been no talks between me and the club," Petit said. "I don't believe they want me to stay."
However, the former Monaco and Arsenal star , who has seen injuries restrict him to seven matches this term, said he would accept their decision.
"It's not a shame, it's a business these days. I hope to come back before the end of the season but I don't think my future will be at Chelsea."
Petit, who retired from international football last year, remains determined that he can still play a useful role for another London club.
"I love London and there is life in me yet," he added. Petit has never really hit the same heights he achieved under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal either at Barca or Chelsea, where he has made 76 appearances scoring three times.
