Valeron agrees new Deportivo deal
MADRID, Spain -- Deportivo Coruna have agreed a three-year contract extension with Juan Carlos Valeron, keeping the Spanish midfielder at the club until 2010.
"These will probably be the last years of my career," the 28-year-old said. "I'm enjoying myself here and I feel appreciated."
Valeron, capped 37 times and a key figure in Spain's midfield, joined the Galician club in 2000 from Atletico Madrid.
Deportivo president Augusto Cesar Lendoiro told a news conference that Valeron was "one of those people who make a mark, as a player, as a professional and especially as a person".
