Hartson brace as Celtic score five
GLASGOW, Scotland -- John Hartson struck twice as Celtic hit five second half goals to crush Kilmarnock 5-1 and open up a 14-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League.
Second-placed Rangers can cut the deficit to 11 points again if they win at bottom club Partick Thistle on Sunday.
Hibernian were held 1-1 at home by Dundee in their mid-table clash while Dundee United beat fourth-placed Dunfermline 1-0 at home in the day's only other matches.
French winger Didier Agathe put Celtic ahead 10 minutes after the break from a pass by Hartson and the Wales striker headed his first goal 10 minutes later from an Agathe cross.
Goals from Swede Henrik Larsson, who converted another Agathe pass in the 76th minute, and Stephen Pearson made it 4-0 in successive minutes.
Eric Skora lobbed home Kilmarnock's consolation goal in the 84th minute before Hartson headed his second and Celtic's fifth a minute from time.
