Madrid draw Sevilla in semifinals
MADRID, Spain (Reuters) -- Real Madrid will take on Sevilla in the semifinals of the King's Cup, while second division Alaves face Real Zaragoza.
Real, bidding to win the competition for the first time since 1993, will play the first leg at home to Sevilla on or around February 4, with the return set for the following week.
Sevilla beat Real 4-1 in the league earlier this season but they will have to do without Jose Antonio Reyes for the Cup clash following his move to English leaders Arsenal this week.
Zaragoza were rewarded for their victory over Barcelona on Thursday with a tie against Alaves, the only second division side left in the Cup. Alaves beat Celta Vigo to reach the last four.
The final is scheduled for March 17 at a venue still to be decided.
