LONDON, England (CNN) -- AC Milan maintained their grip on first place for the third week in a row on the latest CNN/World Soccer Top 10 club rankings.
The European champions took over from Roma at the top of Serie A with a 2-1 win over Siena on Wednesday, with goals coming from Brazilian striker Kaka and Jon Dahl Tomasson.
That followed a 5-0 win over last-placed Ancona on Saturday, when Kaka score twice, and Tomasson, Andriy Shevchenko and Manuel Rui Costa also found the scoresheet.
Real Madrid moved up one place to No. 2 after strengthening their title defense in Spain with a 2-1 win over Villarreal, thanks to goals from Santiago Solari and Ronaldo.
And Madrid also advanced to the semifinals of the King's Cup with an impressive 5-1 aggregate win over Valencia, completed on Wednesday with a 2-1 win at Valencia's Mestalla stadium. Raul's early strike ensured a comfortable evening for Madrid and Zinedine Zidane's injury time freekick capped their evening.
Italian champions Juventus slipped one place to No. 3 after failing to keep up with Milan's pace in Serie A, drawing 3-3 with Empoli on Sunday.
English rivals Arsenal and Manchester United remained locked together at No. 5 and No. 6, while Argentina and intercontinental champions Boca Juniors jumped two places to No. 6.
