Bayonne told to play tie in France
PARIS, France -- French Basque side Bayonne have been refused permission to stage their French Cup match with Paris St Germain across the Spanish border at San Sebastien.
The French federation has told Bayonne to come up with another stadium or concede home advantage to Paris.
Non-league Bayonne, more noted for their rugby side, have a partnership with the Spanish Basque soccer side Real Sociedad who play at San Sebastien.
They are now looking to playing the February 10 tie at the Pau rugby stadium or Bordeaux rugby stadium as their own ground does not meet safety standards.
