Kahn could miss Bundesliga restart
BERLIN, Germany (Reuters) -- Champions Bayern Munich expect to be without goalkeeper Oliver Kahn when the Bundesliga restarts this weekend after the winter break.
Bayern said on Tuesday their captain had hurt his right thigh while warming up for a friendly at Southampton on Monday and was doubtful for Saturday's game at Eintracht Frankfurt.
The club, who drew 1-1 with Southampton with Michael Rensing deputising in goal, entered the winter break in second place, four points behind leaders Werder Bremen.
Kahn, 34, admits his chances of facing Eintracht Frankfurt hang in the balance.
"At this moment in time I can not say whether I will play or not," confessed Kahn.
