Deisler leaves psychiatric clinic
BERLIN, Germany (Reuters) -- Bayern Munich midfielder Sebastian Deisler has left the clinic where he was being treated for depression, the German champions said.
Bayern said in a statement that the 24-year-old German international should resume light training in the next few days.
Deisler, one of Germany's most gifted players, had been undergoing treatment in a psychiatric institute in Munich since November.
It was too early to say when he would be able to play again, the club added.
Bayern star Deisler, whose promising career has been persistently hit by injuries, seemed to be recapturing his best form when the news broke that he was suffering from depression.
The doctor treating Deisler said in November the pressure of having to meet high expectations and the fact that his partner was having a difficult pregnancy had taken their toll.
Deisler's partner, Eunice, gave birth last week to a baby boy named Raphael.
