Czech keeper Cech to join Chelsea
LONDON, England -- Czech goalkeeper Petr Cech will join English side Chelsea at the end of the season, according to the player's agent.
The 21-year-old, currently with French side Rennes, will cost the London club around $15 million.
"Petr's transfer is done but the two clubs still have to confirm everything in writing," Pavel Zika told British newspapers.
Chelsea, who have spent almost $200 million since Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich took control last year, already have four experienced keepers.
Italian Carlo Cudicini is the current first choice, ahead of Marco Ambrosio, Neil Sullivan and Juergen Macho.
