Jardel moves to struggling Ancona
ROME, Italy (Reuters) -- Brazilian striker Mario Jardel has been loaned to Serie A strugglers Ancona by England's Bolton Wanderers, according to Italian press reports.
Jardel, who signed for Bolton for 1.5 million pounds ($2.7 million) from Portugal's Sporting Lisbon last August, arrived in Italy on Saturday after an agreement was reached in a hurry.
Negotiations were speeded up because other clubs such as Perugia, Ancona's opponents on Sunday, were interested in signing the 30-year-old.
Ancona are bottom of Serie A with just four points from 16 games, and have failed to win a league match all season.
