ROME, Italy -- Lazio remained without a Serie A victory in 2004 after drawing 1-1 at lowly Modena.
The Roman giants, whose shareholders approved a $152.4 million cash injection to keep the club afloat earlier on Saturday, now trail archrivals and Italian leaders Roma by 10 points.
Claudio Lopez had put the visitors in front, only for Nicola Campedelli to hit back for Modena.
Lazio had enjoyed the better of the first half and were rewarded on 24 minutes when Roberto Muzzi rolled the ball to Argentine forward Lopez, who scored with a low finish.
But Lazio failed to press home their advantage and Campedelli equalized on the hour, sweeping a specualtive shot past keeper Angelo Peruzzi.
Also on Saturday, Adriano headed in a late goal on his return from a long injury absence to salvage a 1-1 draw for fifth-placed Parma at Udinese.
Matteo Ferrari's own goal, deflected in from Alberto's cross, had put Udinese ahead just before halftime.
On Sunday leaders Roma face Sampdoria while second-placed AC Milan visit Brescia and champions Juventus host Siena.
