Madrid dominate UEFA annual poll
NYON, Switzerland -- Spanish champions Real Madrid dominate UEFA's team of the year, voted for by users of the European governing body's Web site.
Midfielders Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham fill the midfield while Roberto Carlos is also selected in defense.
Manchester United's Ruud van Nistelrooy and Arsenal's Thierry Henry form an all-English Premier League forward line.
AC Milan's Alessandro Nesta and Paolo Maldini are joined in defense by Porto's Paulo Ferreira, in front of Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
Buffon's Czech teammate Pavel Nedved makes up the midfield quartet.
Porto coach Jose Mourinho was nominated as coach in the poll which attracted 1.5 million votes.
