Scottish Cup wins for Glasgow pair
GLASGOW, Scotland -- Glasgow rivals Rangers and Celtic both advanced to the fourth round of the Scottish Cup with 2-0 wins.
Holders Rangers extended their unbeaten cup record to 23 games, beating Premier League rivals Hibernian with goals from Shota Arveladze and Peter Lovenkrands.
Celtic were held for 74 minutes by Ross County before John Hartson and Paul Lambert ended the first division side's resistance.
Celtic, the runaway league leaders, were paired with third-placed Hearts in the next round while Rangers drew Premier League Kilmarnock.
Rangers have not lost a domestic cup tie since manager Alex McLeish became the Glasgow club's manager in December 2001.
In other all-premier league ties, Dunfermline beat Dundee United 3-1 and Aberdeen drew 0-0 with 10-man Dundee.
Non-league Spartans won 4-1 at second division Arbroath and were drawn at home against premier league Livingston.
