LONDON, England -- Fulham striker Louis Saha has blasted the London club over their decision not to sell him to English champions Manchester United.
United were reported to have offered $14.6 million for the Frenchman's services.
"I am completely gutted, appalled," Saha told French newspaper L'Equipe.
"A move to Manchester United was a good deal for everybody. United were offering eight million pounds ($14.6 million). It was a very good deal for Fulham. It's not as if I'm Ronaldo," added Saha, who has scored 14 goals in the Premier League this season.
"And I had the chance to join one of the biggest clubs in the world. It was the chance of a lifetime. Manchester aren't going to come back for me in six months time. They will have found another striker by then.
"I don't understand the position of (Fulham chairman) Mohamed Al Fayed. I thought I deserved something as I have given a lot to Fulham."
But Fulham coach Chris Coleman accused United of using "bullying tactics in their efforts to lure Saha to Old Trafford.
"People are trying to bully us into selling one of our players," said Coleman, who has steered his side to fifth in the Premier League.
"I've never liked bullies and I don't like to be bullied, that is why we are so determined to hang onto Louis Saha."
