Cisse denies Liverpool deal done
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- AJ Auxerre and France striker Djibril Cisse flew to Liverpool on Sunday for a medical but denied having already signed a contract to move to Anfield in July.
"I want to move to Liverpool and I'm sure I'll play at Anfield next season but I haven't signed anything yet and it would be impossible for me to do so."
I'm still under contract with Auxerre until 2005," the 22-year-old added.
French sports daily L'Equipe reported that Cisse, the French Ligue 1's top scorer with 14 goals, had signed a five-year contract before Christmas linking him with Liverpool from July.
