Wales make changes against England
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Wales coach Steve Hansen has made two changes to the side for Saturday's Six Nations match against England at Twickenham.
Both changes are in the front row, with veteran hooker Robin McBryde returning in place of Mefin Davies after missing the defeat by France with tonsillitis.
Prop Duncan Jones is the other player to force his way back into the side, recovering from a wrist injury to replace Iestyn Thomas.
Davies drops to the bench for the England match, while Thomas misses out on a place in the 22-man squad.
"Robin (McBryde) was originally selected for the France match and it is natural to bring him back into the side as he contributes a vast amount of experience to the front row," Hansen was quoted as saying on the Welsh Rugby Union website.
"Duncan (Jones) gives us an extra option in terms of ball carrying and he regains his place over the unfortunate Iestyn Thomas after proving his fitness.
"We've had a good week in preparation and are looking forward to going to Twickenham to play the World Champions.
"Any previous meetings between these two nations, including the World Cup, are irrelevant as neither of these selected teams have played each other before."
Both sides will be looking to bounce back from narrow losses in the last round of matches, Wales going down 29-22 to France in Cardiff while England were stunned 19-13 by Ireland at Twickenham.
Wales gave England a huge scare in their World Cup quarterfinal in Brisbane last November, scoring three tries in a 28-17 defeat.
Hansen indicated he would again look to play the game away from the powerful England forwards by spreading the ball to the wings.
"The key for us is that we get away to a good start. We've got to get right into their faces and make it a competition right from the first whistle," Hansen added.
