LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Country star Reba McEntire has raised eyebrows on the set of her hit WB sitcom in recent weeks with a couple of last-minute calls saying that she cannot return to work because of a "family emergency."
On at least two occasions since last month, McEntire called just before the beginning of production on an episode of "Reba" to say she couldn't make it, citing a family emergency in Oklahoma.
After taking her second break in four weeks, rumors have surfaced that McEntire is unhappy with her current salary on the show, which ranks as the WB's strongest comedy.
However, sources said McEntire is expected to return to work Wednesday and that her reps have made no formal overtures about renegotiating her contract.
The WB, the show's 20th Century Fox TV producer, and reps for McEntire declined comment Tuesday. The WB is a unit of Time Warner, as is CNN.
