REDWOOD CITY, California (CNN) -- A prospective juror in the Scott Peterson trial will soon appear in a hearing to determine whether she said the defendant is "guilty as hell" and she intended to make sure the double murder suspect "got everything he deserves."

Judge Alfred DeLucchi ordered the woman to return to court May 11. She has denied making the comments.

The judge told defense attorney Mark Geragos to subpoena the person who tipped him off to the alleged comments. The tipster is expected to appear a day before the prospective juror on May 10.

The judge has also asked the county attorney to investigate the matter.

Geragos contends that Peterson cannot get a fair trial in northern California. He informed the judge about the alleged comments after receiving the tip.

Final jury selection is to take place on May 13.

Peterson is on trial for the killing of his wife, Laci, and their unborn son. He could face the death penalty if convicted.

Geragos has so far failed in his attempts to have the trial moved to Southern California, but it was moved from the Petersons' hometown, Modesto, to Redwood City, about 80 miles away.

The remains of Laci Peterson and the fetus washed up separately on the shore of San Francisco Bay in April, near where Peterson told police he had gone fishing December 24, 2002, the day he reported his wife missing.
