NEW YORK (CNN) -- Less than a week before her deadline to report to a federal prison, U.S. celebrity homemaker Martha Stewart spent the weekend partying with friends at a Bahamas resort, according to a newspaper report.

The New York Post said on Sunday 63-year-old Stewart attended the Saturday wedding of publicist Susan Magrino at the Ocean Club resort in Paradise Island.

The paper also said the home decor expert, who arrived at the resort Friday, attended a rehearsal dinner that night and visited the resort's casino, winning about $200.

On Saturday, the Post said, Stewart walked along the beach and waded into the surf before taking part in final wedding preparations, with video and photo crews shooting footage for possible use in Martha Stewart Living magazine and some planned TV specials.

Stewart, convicted in March for obstruction of justice related to her 2001 sale of Imclone Systems Inc. stock, is required to report to the federal prison camp at Alderson, W. Va., on Friday afternoon.

She announced last month that she would begin serving the five-month prison term she received in July -- even as she appeals the conviction -- in an effort to get the matter behind her and her home decor company.

Stewart, described as being accompanied by a much-younger male companion, was to fly back to her home in Connecticut Sunday.

The paper said Stewart has one last opportunity to see publicist Magrino, at a reception at New York's Four Seasons restaurant Thursday night, before reporting to prison.
