Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, was taken to a Mason City, Iowa, hospital Saturday evening for tests after she complained of an upset stomach, but left after a series of tests, a Kerry campaign spokeswoman said.
Heinz Kerry was in Mason City to campaign for her husband Saturday, and was returning to her Pennsylvania home, the spokeswoman, Sarah Gegenheimer, said.
"After complaining of an upset stomach at a local event in Mason City, Iowa, Teresa Heinz Kerry visited Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa," Gegenheimer said.
"As a precaution, Mrs. Heinz Kerry had a series of routine tests performed and was released. She is feeling better, and is traveling tonight back to her home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as planned."
