Dale Fountain, CNN Election Express bus driver:
(CNN) -- Crew call: 11:45 a.m. Temperature: It's 20 degrees and snowing. Today's Express location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
We were out for a good while yesterday with all the primary festivities going on in New Hampshire. It was an exciting day.
There were a lot of unusual people around yesterday. I saw everything from vegetable mascots to Verman the Supreme, a man with a boot on his head and flippers on his shoulder, all vying for votes. Verman's campaign platform was that if you vote for him, you get a free pony if he's elected.
God bless America that anyone can come out and say what they want.
I'm preparing now for departure to South Carolina today. Drive time is about 16 hours from New Hampshire, but that will depend on what my driving conditions are.
I'll check in again soon.
Today's TV lingo: "Stand ups." It is when a correspondent appears on camera, usually at the end of their taped report, to offer additional facts or insight. It's either on location or from a studio.
