DOHA, Qatar (CNN) -- Samir abd al Aziz al Najm -- No. 24 on the 55 most wanted list -- was handed over to the coalition's Special Operations forces by Iraqi Kurds Thursday night, Brig. Gen. Vincent Brooks of U.S. Central Command said Friday.
"He was a Baath Party official, a regional command chairman for the Baghdad district and is believed to have first-hand knowledge of the Baath Party central structure," Brooks said.
"The coalition is pursuing other regime leaders" the general added.
Central Command announced Thursday that coalition forces captured Saddam Hussein's half-brother, Barzan Ibrahim Hasan al Tikriti.
Another half-brother, Watban Ibrahim Hasan al Tikriti, is also being held along with Amir Hamudi Hasan al-Sadi, Saddam's science adviser.
