LONDON, England (CNN) -- British Airways is investigating allegations that a pilot and two crew members were under the influence of alcohol before a flight from Norway to Britain.
The three crew members were arrested at Oslo airport on Tuesday after police were alerted by other BA staff, a spokeswoman for the airline told CNN Wednesday.
The flight was canceled and BA arranged for the 55 passengers of Flight 761 from Oslo to London's Heathrow airport to be transferred to an SAS airlines flight.
The three crew members were due to return to Britain with BA management during the day, the airline said.
"We have launched a full investigation into the alleged breach of airline rules on alcohol consumption," said the spokeswoman.
"It is a disciplinary offense to report to work impaired by alcohol. We have zero tolerance of this and any gross breaches of these rules can lead to dismissal."
