KABUL, Afghanistan -- Two heavy explosions have been heard in downtown Kabul, The Associated Press has reported.
It is not immediately clear what caused the blasts on Monday, or if there were any casualties.
Kabul is on a high security footing as it hosts a loya jirga, or grand assembly, which will decide future political structures for Afghanistan.
In a separate incident, four rockets exploded in the north of the city overnight.
One struck a house, but nobody was hurt.
